This website had a primary source document that was a letter written by Bonnet himself, pleading for his life when he was captured. This helped me know how Bonnet felt while in jail, he pleaded for his life.

In this letter it described the Battle of Cape Fear River and also shows how the colony of South Carolina felt about pirates. It helped describe their trouble with pirates.

This is a pardon sent out by King George himself, offering pirates freedom from their crimes . They would except the pardon and give up their life as a pirate, but the government would not be allowed to put them in jail or hang them. It helped me understand how the government felt about pirates and why Bonnet was not willing to rob as much after he got his pardon.
